Privacy Policy

What we collect

  • Account info: email address, company name, password hash.
  • Vetting activity: DOT numbers you've vetted, decisions generated, broker notes you provide.
  • Billing info: handled by Stripe — we never see your card.
  • Technical info: IP address, browser user agent, for security and abuse prevention.

How we use it

We use your information to provide the vetting service, generate your PDF records, enforce subscription limits, send transactional emails, and improve the product. We do not sell your data.

Data retention

Vetting records and PDFs are retained per your plan's retention period (30 days on Free, 7 years on Defender and Defender Pro). This 7-year retention covers most statute-of-limitations periods for negligent-hiring claims.

Carrier data is public

All FMCSA carrier data displayed in BrokerDefender comes from public government records. We do not collect or display private information about carrier owners, drivers, or employees.
