1. Service description

BrokerDefender is an informational tool that pulls publicly available carrier data from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and presents it to users alongside an automated decision engine. BrokerDefender does not provide legal advice and does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any carrier data.

2. No legal advice

BrokerDefender is not a law firm. Its outputs are informational and do not constitute legal advice. You should consult a licensed attorney for any specific legal question including but not limited to questions arising under Montgomery v. Caribe Transport II, LLC, the FAAAA, or any state negligence law.

3. Decision responsibility

Final responsibility for any carrier-booking decision rests with you. BrokerDefender's traffic-light decision is one input among many. You remain the broker of record and are accountable for compliance with all applicable laws.

4. Data accuracy

Carrier data is sourced from FMCSA at the moment of vetting. Government data can be outdated, incomplete, or in error. BrokerDefender stores a snapshot of the data as it appeared at the time of vetting for evidentiary purposes; this does not warrant the underlying accuracy.

5. Subscription billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; access continues through the end of the current billing period. Refunds are at BrokerDefender's discretion.
